Dt466 Losing Fuel Prime - I'm having fuel issues on my dt466 and i have no idea why. A few weeks ago the engine started and ran fine, no issues. A week later i tried starting it and i'm still trying 3 weeks. Turns out my hand primer pump is bad. Took it off, put it in a bucket of water and tested it. It pushes water out from under the plastic pump cap, which means it's not creating. Fuel should stop flowing, if it continues to dribble you have a bad regulator. More than once i have seen pieces of the rubber check ball in the presrceen filter stuck in the fuel. The fuel primer pump is not designed to be rebuilt but you can change the o rings if you want to spend the time. I recommend replacing the the primer pump. Finally, on the advice of my neighbor.
